1 Who We Are
Squad M8s ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile app and website that helps gamers find compatible teammates. Our website is located at squadm8s.com and our contact email is hello@squadm8s.com.
Squad M8s is currently operated as an independent project. As we grow, this policy will be updated to reflect any changes to our legal structure.
2 What Information We Collect
We only collect what you actively give us:
- Email address — when you join the waitlist or submit feedback with your email
- Feedback content — the type, description, and importance rating you submit through our feedback form
- Basic analytics — page views and general traffic data (no personal identifiers). We may use a privacy-friendly analytics tool such as Plausible.
We do not collect your name, payment details, location, device identifiers, or any data through cookies at this stage.
3 How We Use Your Information
- To notify you when Squad M8s launches or early access opens
- To send occasional product updates if you joined the waitlist (you can unsubscribe any time)
- To understand which features are most requested (feedback data)
- To follow up on specific feedback if you provided your email
- To improve the website experience using aggregated, anonymised analytics
We will never use your email for unrelated marketing or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
4 How We Store Your Data
Form submissions (waitlist signups and feedback) are stored securely through Netlify Forms, a third-party service that powers our website hosting. Netlify's privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.
We do not operate our own database at this stage. Your data is stored in Netlify's infrastructure, which is hosted on servers in the United States.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), by submitting your email you consent to this transfer.
5 Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the site:
- Netlify — website hosting and form handling (netlify.com)
- Google Fonts — font loading (fonts.google.com). Google may log your IP address when loading fonts.
- Porkbun — domain registration (porkbun.com)
Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
6 Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Deletion — ask us to delete your email from our waitlist at any time
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from any emails we send at any time

7 Children's Privacy
Squad M8s is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

As Squad M8s grows from waitlist to a live product, this Privacy Policy will be updated. We'll note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever changes are made. For significant changes, we'll notify waitlist members by email.
